Invisibility Cloak getting warmer

Scientists at the University of California have engineered a material capable of bending light around an object. Here's a quote from the article published by BBC News " The light-bending effect relies on reversing refraction, the effect that makes a straw placed in water appear bent." Right now they have only made this work on a very small scale, something like a billionth of a meter. Still, considering how fast technology moves along we could be seeing a human sized cloak a lot sooner than thought before. I don't know if this is good or bad news considering the power this would give someone. Still sounds cool.

BTW the pic's fake, just showing what the technology could someday look like.
