James Cameron's Avatar to be 60% CG and 40% Live Action

James Cameron is making history again, his upcoming movie Avatar will change the way movies are being shot. Everyone thought 3-D movies were a dying breed, wrong son. Here is one of James Cameron's recent statements on the production.  "When you are doing performance capture, creatively it's very daunting. It's very hard to imagine what it will look like. But if you can see it, if you can have a virtual image of what is it going to be like, then you are there. As the processing power goes up our models get more sophisticated and our lighting tools get more sophisticated, even while we are making this movie. I'm still doing a lot of virtual camera work on the film ... on stuff that was shot six months ago." It sounds pretty complicated but I am stoked that 3-D is coming back, time to bring the red n blues out. The movies described as a Science Fiction story. Cameron has been quoted  a few times giving hints of the story he said this in 2006 when the movie was still code named Project 880 "In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture." Considering this is the guy behind Aliens, Terminator and True Lies I can't wait for this movie. Funny thing is I bet you won't hear anything on it until just before its release, 17 months from now. Sleeeeeper hit
