Bungie got some tricks up their sleeve

I am not the biggest Halo fan, but even with that being said, I have a lot of respect for the franchise and the guys working within the development studio. When Halo: Combat Evolved was first released on the original Xbox it was huge, the kind of game Goldeneye fans had been waiting years for. Regarding the sequels though, I found Halo 2 and 3 a little repetitive, they felt the same as the first one just with a new layer of gloss. Like JC says though, few games can compare to the fun that can be had with any Halo game's multiplayer mode, especially with a few buddys and a big T.V. So with Halo 3 out and the ODST(Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) spin off coming out soon what is next for Bungie? Well Bungie has recently posted a job listing for a new Halo project that sounds very interesting and extremely ambitious. Here is a description of the project taken from Bungie's post - "taking the current Halo community and online gaming support system and bringing it to the next level." "We're looking to blend console, Web, and mobile to create an immersive Halo world that follows the dedicated Halo fan wherever they go," "We need engineers that can build connected technology while working in a startup environment."
Even for someone who isn't a huge Halo fan, I have got to admit this sounds pretty interesting. If any company has the skill and cash to do this, Bungie would be it. In 2006 Peter Jackson(Lord of the Rings director) was revealed to be working on something within the Halo world, could this be it? Hopefully E3 will tell us more, stay tuned.
