Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories has been confirmed by Konami to be in development for the Wii. Shattered Memories will feature the same main character(Harry Mason) and location from the original game, not a bad thing. The first game was released for the original Playstation in 1999, it was one of the first Survival Horror games to really make a name for itself. It was also one of the first video games that genuinely scared the shit out of people, I still remember watching my brother play when I was younger. In a lot of ways it was scarier than most of the Horror movies that had come out. The game inspired a number of sequels and a Silent Hill film which actually did the franchise justice(A rarity in game to movie adaptations). This game will not be a direct remake of the first, a lot is supposedly being added and tweaked to keep the game feeling fresh. I am glad to see Wii is actually getting a real Horror game, not just an arcade shooter. A release date of 2009 has been given.
