"Where The Wild Things Are" The Movie!!!

I'm a little late on posting this, but the children's picture book "Where The Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak is being adapted into a movie. The movie is currently in post production and is being directed by Spike Jonze ("Fully Flared" & "Being John Malkovich" ). The story is only ten sentences long, but will be turned into a full feature film. Some famous actors that will be in the film include Catherine Keener, Mark Ruffalo, Lauren Ambrose (Voice), James Gandolfini (Voice), Catherine O'Hara (Voice), Forest Whitaker (Voice).

I absolutely loved this book as a child, it had amazing illustrations and a great little story. I think a lot of people, including myself, have huge expectations for this film. Its always hit or miss when converting a popular piece of literature into film, and we can only hope this movie doesn't turn out to be another "Da Vinci Code".

The Plot:
A mischievous little boy is sent to his room without supper for misbehaving. While in his room, the boy creates the land of Wild Things in his imagination. These Wild Things are scary looking creatures with yellow eyes. The boy manages to become the King of the Wild Things by staring into their eyes without blinking.

I'm not going to tell the end of the story just in case you haven't read the book already.

Instead, I'll leave you with the Trailer
