Halifax the "Solar City" ?

A $5 million dollar solar project has been approved by Halifax council. The idea was lead by Richard MacLellan who works for the Sustainable Environment office. The plan will start off small scale and involves numerous solar panels powering hot water to around 500 houses, a modest start, but a start none the less.

That's amazing. Once these things prove to pay for themselves, there's no telling how much they'll pop up in the city.
