Dubalicious Wednesdays @ Tribeca

This month we are happy to feature two of the Halifield badmen...

Buck Banger
Halifield Movement // Outlaw Entertainment // Wickedbad.net

Tim Barrett never met a breakbeat he didn't like. Beginning his dj journey in 2002 he was a bonified hip hopper through & through but still had an enormous love for electronic music, so he found himself trying to blend hip hop acapellas over techno records. In early 2005 he bought a few drum n bass vinyls @ the local record shop & instantly became an addict for jungle/drum n bass music.

After cutting his teeth on any dnb that came his way he started developing a style of his own when he discovered the sounds of Ragga Jungle. The earthy riddims & beats fused with dem reggae vocals he knew where his head would always be...deep in the heart of the Jungle.

Now, with the emergence of dubstep onto the world stage he feels as though his musical influences have come full circle into a particular style that can be just as tough as dem ragga sounds but with a hip hop swagger & a drum n bass crunch.

He started his own production team / crew The Halifield Movement in late 2007, who are now notorious within the Halifax electronic community.

8 years later, sharing the stage with such names as Zed's Dead, Excision, RCola, DZ, Mark Instinct, Ill Gates, Myagi, Construct, Vilify, Poirier, Junior Sanchez & many other local legends, Buck Banger is @ the height of his abilities as well as who he is as a dj, as a hypeman & as a Halifax Bass Music promoter. Ready, willing & able to rock crowds on the mic or the turntables, he's sure to impress as he will always give you more Bang fo ya Buck!

vs

Jerm
Halifield Movement // ffwd Clothing // Wickedbad.net

Jerm is a notorious dance floor destroyer with too much wickedness for one island to contain; Thus after years of nomadic roaming through both the East and West of Canada, Jerm has found himself settled in Halifax once again.

Jerm’s grimy bass lines have spread into the susceptible minds of our young, a growing massive of Atlantic junglists forever turned off Country music. With 8 years behind the decks, Jerm is a serious contender in any DJ competition or Jungle jam. Recently discovering his love for Dubstep has only intensified his live sets, which now regularly consist of mixing many different styles of breakbeat and bass driven music mixed seamlessly. It’s always pleasure seeing Jerm spin live. The man is a machine.

Jerm has had the honor of playing alongside many talented names including Dieselboy, Muffler, The Jungle Brothers, Myagi, Ill.Gates, J-Bass, Mo7s ,The Electrician, Junior Sanchez, Alex Bau, Toronto's Jazz/Electronica band The Chameleon Project and many more.

Jerm is an original member of the notorious Halifax crew the Halifield Movement alongside founders Buck Banger and Harmsworth, along with a plethora of talented dj's from the East Coast.

Doc Brown
Full Circle Events // Halifield Movement

A new comer to the deejay scene here in Halifax but definitely not a force to be reckoned with.

Doc Brown is locked, loaded and ready to drop some serious bombs on the dance floor at Dubalicious Wednesdays on Dec 8th 2010 as he showcases his skills on the 1's and 2's.

Some of you might already know what comes along in a Doc Brown set as he has just advanced to the finals of the Club 1668 battle of the deejays.

This show will also mark the launch of his residency with Dubalicious Wednesdays and Full Circle Events.
