Kurt Bio?

Movies based on dead people can be a touchy subject, especially when the death was as tragic and controversial as Kurt Cobains. Writer/Director of "The Messenger" Oren Moverman is currently in talks with Universal to produce a Kurt Cobain biopic.
         I happen to be a huge fan of Kurt's, with that being said I am not sure how i feel about this. Having actually read Kurts lyrics and some of his writing I am not sure if he would approve, his biggest fear was selling out and becoming too "commercial". I am not saying this director is just looking for a cash grab(though that is possible), I just personally don't feel this movie has to be made at all. Even with that being said, my curiosity would eventually drive me into the theatre. I just hope the director keeps in mind that Kurt still has family and friends that are tired of the grim reminder. If your gonna do it, do it right.

Henry Rollin's in Halifax March 19 @ The Rebecca Cohen

Henry Rollin's; former front man from legendary punk band Black Flag to then his later Rollins Band, Then to Get his own Tv show on MTV making it one of the rawest shows ever put on the network, as well as crossover acting in many Hollywood action flicks and writing 10 ten books on his own publishing company. Is coming to Halifax on his Spoken Word Tour, and will be at the Dalhousie Rebecca Cohen Auditorium on March 19th at 8:00pm, Tickets are 31.50. I wouldn't be surprised if this one sold out. Here's but a glimpse of what the man is like...
