What is Sweater Day?

On February 17th, for the World Wildlife Fund’s National Sweater Day, Canadians all across the country will be turning down their thermostat by 3˚C and wearing a silly sweater to show their support for the planet.

Wearing a sweater is a symbolic gesture of support for rethinking our energy consumption and using energy in a more conservative way. It's a fun, quirky and energetic way of starting dialogue about energy and building buzz about one of the most critical environmental issues of our time, climate change.

Pledge competition!:

Compete against other faculties/departments for the highest percentage of pledgers! The winning faculty/department will be awarded a Pizza Party and there will be a raffle draw for Dalhousie merchandise (like warm sweaters, and winter wear!)
